Wednesday Pictures

Bella staring at Maddie. (Actually, it's more like Bella staring at Maddie's bed, cause every time we leave her alone with it in the kitchen, Bella is up on the kitchen table *in* it. Weirdo dog.)

Comfy car seat.

Bonus picture:
Maddie, if you ever read this when you get older, this is the best chocolate cake ever. Your mom & I had lots of it in the hospital waiting for ya.

This picture was taken at the risk of death in front of a pregnant female. The photographer did survive, but kids, please don't try this at home.

Wednesday Pictures - Aunt Amy Visit

Mommy & Maddie. Maddie is in pink. (again. I sense that there's a theme of some sorts going on here, but I'm not sure exactly what)

Post-bath Maddie. (We still don't enjoy baths)

Bedtime for Maddie. Sleepy.

Big fingers. Little hand.

Boss, if you happen to read this, I was really focused on our conversation. Promise. (Also, I need an iPhone)

Monday Pictures

6 days old - tomorrow is her one-week b-day!

(Feel free to send me money for her college fund, email me for account information) :)

Sunday Pictures

Daddy & Maddie watching the Bears beat the Saints.

Oh no! Not the bunny outfit!

Mommy put this on me.

First Vomit

After an especially long feeding this morning, Maddie puked for the first time today. Rumor has it that this was aimed at grandma (mormor in Swedish).

I missed it, cause I was sleeping due to having been up working all night :(

Maddie and I are currently sitting here watching the NFC Championship game. She's hoping the Saints will win, but the Bears just scored.

Saturday Pictures

Wet Diaper Detector

My idea to take over the world and get filthy rich failed miserably just now after a quick Google Patent Search.

http://www.google.com/patents?q=wet+diaper+detector&btnG=Search+Patents

"An apparatus for use with a diaper to detect the occurrence of a wet condition in the diaper and produce an alarm signal in response to such detection"

Wish I had thought of that earlier.

Green and yellow

Ya know, I did not read anywhere in *any* of the hundreds of web sites I visited or in any of the dozens of books I read about babies that the words:

"I'm so excited about the green and yellow poop".

Would come out of my mouth.

Post disclaimer: This post may only be funny to read by people who are already parents

First Dr Visit

Passed with flying colors. The Doctor even chose to pass on the blood test. She was great during the drive there and back as well. (unlike last night, she obviously takes after daddy in terms of sleeping habits and is a night person).

Even more pictures

Sleepy

After first bath. It wasn't *that* bad to get my hair washed. Really.

Daddy figuring out how diapers work. (Still not allowed to post any pictures of mommy until pictures of her have gone through censorship, will get more up shortly)

A Daddy Joke

Not sure why people are suddenly sending me jokes like this ;-)

The Mommy Test

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. "Why?" my daughter asked.
"Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's dirty and probably has germs" I replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me
with total admiration and asked, "Mommy, how do you know all this stuff?
You are so smart."

I was thinking quickly. "All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mommy." We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information.

"OH...I get it!" she beamed, "So if you don't pass the test you have
to be the daddy." "Exactly" I replied back with a big smile on my face.

When you're finished laughing, send this to a Mom.
